I was invited as a guest of Disney for this trip to Orlando to help promote Disneynature’s Monkey Kingdom, Disney World, and the Walt Disney Conservation Fund. All opinions and excitement are 100% my own!
What a great time to surround yourself with nature – Earth day! While in Orlando last week to learn more about Disneynature’s newest release, Monkey Kingdom, we visited Disney World’s EPCOT and the International Flower & Garden Festival that is going on right now!
Discover dazzling gardens, seasonal cooking and high-energy entertainment at this spectacular springtime event. Sprouting once again in March, the 2015 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival will be budding with fresh experiences for every age and interest.
A few highlights coming into bloom include:
- Locally grown topiaries featuring Disney characters
- Outdoor Kitchens with spring-inspired dishes
- A variety of vibrant entertainment offerings
- Freshly picked music at the Garden Rocks™ Concert Series
- Opportunities to learn how to bring spring at Epcot home
Plus, with so much to see and do, you can return again and again, and find something new every time… ‘cause in 2015, the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is so much more than flower and gardens!
This is definitely a fun adventure for the whole family! From delicious food samplings found all over the world, fun character themed playgrounds, and an interactive butterfly garden, to presentations, entertainment, and all surrounded by gorgeous landscape and creativity that is a treat for the eyes… you can find it all at EPCOT during the International Flower & Garden Festival!
I really enjoyed going from country to country and finding all of the character themed topiaries – they were so beautifully made and so vibrant! A fun way to experience Disney World and your favorite characters for sure!
TIP: When you are exploring all of the culinary offerings of the International Flower & Garden Festival, make it easy on yourself by buying your food budget on a Disney World Gift Card! That way, you are not taking money out of your wallet at every stop and risking anything falling out! I found these awesome gift cards attached to a bracelet that makes it even easier! Keep your food budget on your wrist (or attached to a belt loop, lanyard, or bag) for easy access. If you don’t use all of your budget, you can use the gift card anywhere Disney gift cards are accepted!
Know before you go:
- Admission to EPCOT is required.
- Rain or Shine!
- While most Epcot Flower & Garden Festival events are included with your theme park ticket, availability is limited for some experiences.
- An additional 3-hour guided tour (The Epcot Gardens of the World Tour) is available for separate purchase for $64 plus tax for guests 16 and older
- Events and entertainment are subject to change without notice.
You can start your own conservation efforts now in honor of Earth Day – even before your next trip to Disney World by heading to your local theater and watching Disneynature’s newest film, Monkey Kingdom! When you go during opening week, Disneynature will make a donation to Conservation International to help protect monkeys and other endangered species in their natural habitats!
