My heart breaks for the people of the Houston area that have been affected by the unrelenting havoc that has been brought on by Hurricane Harvey. The rain seems to be tapering off, but the destruction that’s being left behind will affect so many families for a long time. I Know that there is so much that we can do to help the wonderful people of the Houston area, So here is a list of ways that we can help out.
Monetary donations are one way you can really make an impact for the great people of Texas. It’s a great way for organizations to provide quickly for those affected.

There is a great need for meals to be provided for Texans that have been displaced from this storm, and here is a list of some wonderful food banks that can use you help.
This organization is providing a great relief for families in need of diapers especially since other organizations provide wonderful help, but don’t provide diapers.
The blood banks are in need of blood donations, so if you are able to donate you be able to help save lives.
Airbnb is waiving their fees for those affected by the disaster and checking in between Aug. 23 and Sept. 25, and can guide users in creating a listing where their home is offered to victims free.
Lots of animals have been displaced due to Hurricane Harvey.
Austin Pets Alive is seeking families that can foster cats and large dogs.
SPCA of Texas is accepting monetary donations and asking for foster homes to help care for the animals
