Dr. Seuss The Lorax Mustache Treats Recipe

This week we are celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday in our homeschool activities. We kicked off the week with an awesome birthday party with some of our homeschool friends! The day was filled with fun and treats – we made lots of fun and wacky treats that were themed with some of Dr. Seuss’ books and characters! They were fun to make and fun to eat!! These Dr. Seuss Lorax Mustaches were SO easy and turned out adorable!! You can make them for your Dr. Seuss get-together or just for a fun treat for the kids when they get home from school this week!!Screen-Shot-2014-03-03-at-7.25.37-PM-1024x685

What you need to do:

Melt a handful of yellow candy melts in one bowl, and about triple that amount of orange in a separate bowl. Then, melt them in the microwave in about 1 minute. Stir.
First, drizzle some of the yellow candy in the molds, then fill the entire mold with orange over the yellow.
Place the sticks in the mold
Place mold in the freezer for about 10 minutes
Pop out the candy and either wrap in plastic for later or enjoy right away!
