Delicious Strawberry Pretzel Torte Recipe

I’m always making Jell-O in the summer! It’s cool and refreshing on a hot day and there are some many thing you can do with it! Here’s one of my favorite summer Jell-O recipes to try:

Strawberry Pretzel Torte

Ingredients
  • 2 cups crushed pretzels (must be salted!)
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ⅔ cup melted butter
  • 12 oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 cup Cool Whip, thawed
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 pkg. (6 oz.) Strawberry Jell-O Gelatin
  • 1-1/2 cups cold water
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix crushed pretzels, ¼ cup sugar and all the melted butter
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch pan.
  4. Bake crust for 10 min.
  5. Set aside to cool.
  6. With a hand mixer, beat cream cheese, remaining sugar and milk until blended.
  7. Stir in Cool Whip.
  8. Spread cream cheese mixture over cooled pretzel crust.
  9. Refrigerate while you make the strawberry layer.
  10. Add boiling water to gelatin mix in large bowl
  11. Stir for 2 min. until Jell-O is completely dissolved.
  12. Stir in cold water.
  13. Refrigerate Jell-o 1-1/2 hours or until thickened.
  14. Stir in sliced strawberries
  15. Spoon strawberry mixture over cream cheese layer.
  16. Refrigerate torte for 3 hours or until firm.
  17. Slice in squares. (Run knife under hot water to make clean cuts!)
  18. Enjoy!
